Michel began playacting music as a son when his parents arranged for him to submit lessons in flamenco guitar, and as a stripling he developed a gustatorial sensation for jazz earlier diving into the Washington, D.C., john Rock view. While perusing news media in college, Michel played guitar with a number of punk-leaning D.C. bands, including Blue Line, the Hard Tomorrows, and Out_Circuit, just after a tough romantic breakup, he began focusing on his have songs and his own style. Michel made his solo debut with the 2004 EP Ayuda!, released by the independent Magic Bullet tag (based in Fredericksburg, VA, non far from D.C.).
